Tri Delta

Beta Phi Chapter at Centre College

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Since the early 1970s Tri Delta’s chosen philanthropy has been Children’s Cancer Charities. This philanthropic cause encompasses a wide array of charitable organizations and represents the collective effort of Tri Delta’s members and chapters across the United States and Canada who continue to donate goods, volunteer time and host fundraisers for the research and treatment of children with cancer.

In 1999, Tri Delta formed a national philanthropic partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This partnership provides our members with wonderful opportunities to grow as individuals and leaders as we help children LIVE, scientists LEARN, and St. Jude LEAD in its mission of finding cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

In July 2014, Tri Delta made the largest single fundraising commitment of $60 million in 10 years — the single largest fundraising commitment in St. Jude’s history, and received prominent recognition by having the short-term housing facility named Tri Delta Place.

A combined effort of our collegiate and alumnae chapters, along with the unselfish leadership of each individual member and our extensive network of family and friends, makes Tri Delta ranked as one of St. Jude’s top corporate partners alongside for-profit industry leaders like Target, Best Buy, Chili’s, FedEx and Domino’s.

Beta Phi has been very fortunate to have played a significant part in Tri Delta's success in raising funds for St. Jude. For the 2015-2016 school year, Beta Phi raised $50,750 and won the award for Outstanding Philanthropy Event in the Silver Division of Tri Delta for our Annual Silent Auction. This was possible through Beta Phi's fierce dedication and passion for the children of St. Jude, and through the support of family, friends, and supporters of the Tri Delta sisters at Centre.
