Chapter History

The Beta Phi chapter of Delta Delta Delta was established at Centre College in 1980, and has since become an integral part of Centre’s community. Beta Phi is committed to high scholarship, exceptional philanthropic efforts, and the prosperity of each individual sister. Tri Delta’s dedication to the Centre community is evident through sisters’ participation in every aspect of Centre life, from involvement in campus organizations such as Student Government and C.A.R.E. to participation in varsity athletics. Tri Deltas also experience academic achievements and have been recognized through our Greek awards as the organization with the highest amount of fundraising for philanthropy, reorganization of our new member education, and commitment to community service.

Centre Tri Deltas are very committed to Delta Delta Delta’s national philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Recently, Beta Phi was named a top five fundraising chapter in the Silver Division of Tri Delta, and this past year raised over $33,000 for the children of St. Jude. This deed was possible through overwhelming support by the Centre community for Tri Delta hosted philanthropy events such as DHOP (Delta’s House of Pancakes), the St. Jude Silent Auction, and DDDJs. We frequently have fundraising campaigns, such as the 24-hour social media day and our Sincerely Yours letters. Aside from their dedication to St. Jude, Tri Deltas are known for their campus involvement, success in and out of the classroom, and their strong bonds of sisterhood. Centre Tri Deltas form everlasting friendships and timeless memories as a member of Beta Phi that will last for a lifetime.
